Lurdinha hosts a family lunch to make her traditional recipe: Hausa rice. A control freak, she never allowed anyone else to cook, but on this day she won't be cooking; instead, her younger siblings will. Despite their suspicions about the reason for this role reversal, they embrace the idea and immerse themselves in preparing the dish. In this exchange of roles, she teaches the traditional recipe to Binho, Cau, Jussa, and Leandra, four cousins who grew up together. Amidst memories, jokes, and disagreements, Lurdinha interrupts them to announce the real reason for the gathering: she is losing her sight. She, who always kept everything under control, reveals her vulnerabilities. The news is not well received, generating childish behavior among the cousins, but after the shock of the revelation, Lurdinha puts an end to the subject. With the table set, the reunited family accepts the future reality and celebrates the present moment of their gathering.
