Rosa, a woman who dedicates her life to her family, secretly sells sweets to finance her granddaughter Luíza's exchange program. She invites her to lunch where she will reveal the surprise: Margarida, her best friend of 50 years, announces her divorce and stays at her house. Luíza brings a guest, and the two women recognize themselves in that relationship, like a mirror. Upon discovering that the young women are now dating, Rosa confronts her past and is forced to look at herself and the repressed feelings for Margarida, her past love.
